"Love one another just as I have loved you" - John 13:34
In Fond Memory of Elinor W. Ellsworth "Ellie"
from Waterford, CT, formerly of New York City, who passed on September 12, 2023, at the age of 82.
Ellie, a cherished and devoted volunteer friend, dedicated over 20 years to SPH NYC, where she also served as President of the Board. Her service was marked by passionate love and unwavering conviction, extending compassion to our neighbors and leading many to Christ in fulfilling the great commission.
At the heart of our organization lies a mission close to Ellie's heart - to continue bringing Christ's love to neighbors in NYC and around the world through food and community. Ellie's tireless efforts embodied this mission, as she lovingly contributed to the very essence of our cause.
Her absence leaves a significant void, but we believe she now resides in heaven. As we remember Ellie, our commitment is to carry on the meaningful work she poured her heart into at St. Paul's House.
In lieu of flowers, you're invited to honor Ellie's memory by making a donation to St. Paul's House. The heart of our organization is to continue to bring Christ’s love to neighbors in NYC and around the world through food and community.
With our mission of bringing the love of Christ to NYC and around the world, our values line with community, love, and good food.
With community, love, and good food, barriers are broken down between individuals of different walks of life, and our neighbors are welcomed into a safe space where anyone can come as they are.
Our vision is to continue to provide a safe community for our neighbors and team while celebrating the life-changing love of Jesus Christ in people’s lives.
Through community programs and events like our soup kitchen, neighborhood pantry, youth, and more, we connect with neighbors to help support holistic needs and love.
